AN AGREEMENT is today being signed between Stourbridge Rugby Club and South Staffordshire Council’s Trading Standards team in a bid to stamp out counterfeit goods sales.
With the start of the car boot season about the get up and running, a national campaign has been launched to ensure goods sold at markets and events are legitimate and visitors are not being ripped off.
Stourbridge Rugby Club, which holds a number of car boot sales throughout the year, has joined the Real Deal campaign, which brings together councils, market operators and traders, industry groups, and copyright and trademark owners.
Event organisers signing up to the Real Deal charter are demonstrating their commitment to tackling counterfeit goods sales and keeping visitors safe.
The Stourton Park club is holding its first sale of the season today.
