A BLACK Country mum is hosting another summer fundraising event in Stourton in memory of her baby daughter who died just two weeks after she was born.
Kate Dulson's daughter Phoebe Hope died in February 2012 from a rare condition known as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), which prevents a baby's diaphragm from forming properly.
Since then - Kate, aged 36, has been raising cash and awareness for the charity CDH UK which helped her during the dark days after Phoebe's death.
For the last two years she has held a fun day at The Fox at Stourton to help raise money and the profile of the "cruel condition" - and due to demand she's holding the third Phoebe's Fun Day at the pub this Saturday (July 11) from 1pm to 5pm.
Kate, who has two other children - nine-year-old Max and two-year-old Rosie, said: "Phoebe’s Fun Day has been extremely popular and successful the past two years and has raised over £3,000 for CDH UK.
"It means so much, to not only raise a substantial amount of funds for CDH UK, but to also raise awareness of a condition that is unknown to many.
"Most importantly, this day is a way of celebrating and remembering the short life of my daughter Phoebe Hope, who we love and miss every day."
The family fun event will include facepainting, arts and crafts, a bouncy castle, a cartoonist, tombola, raffle, a barbecue and one-hour animal man show starting at 3pm.
There will also be a balloon release at 4.15pm in honour of babies that have lost their lives to CDH.
Kate, a former music teacher from Hasbury in Halesowen, added: "This event is supported by many local businesses and I am extremely grateful to everyone for their support."
