MARY Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge is getting set for its annual summer fete which fundraisers hope will pull in around £10,000.
The event, one of the biggest in the charity's calendar, will take place in the Oldswinford hospice's Hagley Road grounds on Saturday September 5 from 11.30am and will include a host of family-fun.
Attractions and activities include a dog show starting at 1.30pm (registration from 11am), homemade fancy dress competition for kids, Black Country Bake Off, starting at 11.45am for youngsters and noon for adults, with categories for decorated biscuits, cupcakes, Victoria sponge cakes and chocolate cakes plus a prize for the best in show and most unusual ingredient used.
There'll also be a host of stalls, tombolas, competitions, classic cars, zorbing, bouncy castles, fairground rides, pony rides, facepainting and refreshments - plus entertainment by comedy act The Fizzogs, Rock Choir, poet Spoz and more.
