FORMER pupils from King Edward's Grammar School are planning to turn back the clock 40 years with a reunion party.
The class of 1975, who were the last intake of 11-plus pupils at the school, will be meeting up at The Crabmill pub, Oldswinford, next Saturday, September 26 at 7pm.
Organiser Julian Parkes said: "We were known as the forgotten year because we were the last ever intake as the school concentrated on becoming a sixth form college.
"Former pupils will remember having to sport cloth green blazers, but at least we were the first year who didn't have to wear school caps.
"The event isn't just limited to the last year, anyone who was around King Edward's at the time is welcome to come along and revive memories of Charter Day, rugby, cross-country, cricket at Greenfields and, of course, our first tentative beers at The Swan."
