A BELBROUGHTON-based production assistant has her heart set on becoming Miss Worcestershire 2016.

Laura Beth Morgan, aged 24, has fought her way through to the final 20 contestants.

The winner will be announced at a ceremony at Worcester Rugby Club's Sixways Stadium on January 10.

It means Laura Beth has little more than a month to promote herself.

She will be attempting to raise money for Primrose Hospice and 'Beauty with a Purpose' as part of her role within the competition.

She said: "Beauty with a Purpose is a charity that donates and supports vulnerable and disadvantaged children all around the world.

"I am also creating an eco dress made out of recycled Christmas cards.

"My message is simple while I am in the competition: love yourself for who you are as everyone is beautiful."

Laura Beth is being supported by Jessica Davids bridal shop in Oldswinford and Red House Barns of Bromsgrove in her quest to become Miss Worcestershire.

Voting online opens on December 10.

In the meantime, Laura Beth has set up a just giving page at justgiving.com/Laura-Morgan16.
