FOLLOWING the crash on the Birmingham Road between Hagley and Halesowen on Wednesday morning (February 3), police are now appealing for witnesses.
West Mercia Police were called at 8.24am to reports of a collision involving a black Vauxhall Vivaro van and a blue Vauxhall Zafira near to the Badgers Sett pub on the A456.
A van travelling towards Hagley collided with a tree, after which, a car has then been involved in collision with the van, resulting in the dual carriageway being blocked for a number of hours.
The driver of the van, a man in his thirties, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with head injuries.
A passenger in the van, a man in his late teens, was treated for minor injuries and also taken to QE Hospital.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call them on 101, quoting incident number 79s of 3 February.
