OLDER people can ride the Free Radio DY Eye for half the price today (Friday April 22).

Black Country favourites The Fizzogs took a spin on the wheel last week with the Mayor and Mayoress of Dudley and were keen to see more older people taking advantage of the half price offer which means pensioners can go on the attraction for £2 instead of the usual price of £4.

Alan Lunt, strategic director at Dudley Council, said: “The feedback from people who have already been on the ride has been amazing.

"The half price offer for people in receipt of a pension has gone down well, so we decided to run the offer for an additional day to encourage more older people to give it a go.”

The ride normally costs £4 for adults and £3 for children (who are under 1.4 metres tall).

Family tickets for two adults and two children cost £10.

The wheel will be in Stone Street Square until Sunday April 24.
