FAMILIES don’t need to travel far to enjoy the seaside this summer, as Dudley’s own little beach is set to stay until the end of August.
Himley Hall and Park’s famous beach offers 110 tonnes of sand for children to play in.
The sand is left over from last month’s popular under 5s day and is fenced off to make sure it is safe and clean for youngsters.
Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for planning and economic development, said: “The Himley Beach is a huge attraction for youngsters at our annual under 5s day. The sand will be staying until the end of August so bring your buckets and spades and have a great family day out.”
Admission to the hall and park is free but car parking charges apply.
