THREE young children were taken to hospital this morning (Monday, September 12) after being hit by a car outside Hob Green Primary School.

A two-year-old girl, a three-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, as well as two female adults, all suffered injuries in the collision outside the Wollescote school.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to the scene on Hob Green Road at about 9.01am, but the car involved was not there when the paramedics arrived.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said the two adults were treated for lower leg injuries, the three-year-old girl suffered from chest pain, while the young boy complained of shoulder pain.

The two-year-old girl was taken to Russells Hall Hospital by her dad, with the others being taken to the Dudley hospital by ambulance.

It is not currently known how severe the injuries were.
