STOURBRIDGE Police is appealing for information after two shotguns were stolen during a burglary in Pedmore Fields earlier this week.

Burglars forced open a rear UPVC door to gain entry to a house on Wassell Road sometime between 2pm on the Tuesday, December 27, and 11am the following day.

A large gun cabinet was forced open and two shotguns – a Sabel 12 bore side by side shotgun, with serial number 72205 and a Beretta Silver Pigeon free over and under shotgun, serial number SBS68454 – were taken.

Detective Constable Caroline Morris, who is investigating the burglary, said: “Thankfully incidents like this are rare and I would like to reassure the public that we are determined to find who is responsible and locate the stolen firearms.

“I would urge anyone with any information to contact us."

Anyone who has information relating to the burglary or current location of the two shotguns is urged to contact Det Con Morris at Brierley Hill police station on, quoting crime number 20DY/256516E/16.
