AN inquest has been opened and subsequently suspended into the death of an Amblecote woman after a charge of manslaughter was brought upon her son.
Hazel Jennens, aged 78, died in Russells Hall Hospital on January 20, 2016, from respiratory failure and pneumonia after suffering a broken hip during an alleged altercation with her son Mark Jennens.
Jennens, aged 39, of Sorrel Walk, will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on July 10, charged with manslaughter following the alleged incident on December 24, 2015.
The Black Country Coroners Court inquest into Kinver-born Mrs Jennens' death was suspended pending the outcome of her son's criminal trial.
