NEW and barely worn wedding and prom items are set to be sold off to raise money for Mary Stevens Hospice.
The Stourbridge-based charity receives regular donations from boutiques and occasion shops in order to create room for new stock at the end of each fashion season.
So in a bid to raise extra funds, from 5pm on Tuesday March 28, the Hagley Road hospice will be putting on a big sale at Cradley Heath Liberal Club, in Upper High Street.
The hospice will belling dresses, suits and accessories, with designer outfits starting from just £25.
Amanda Bowen, deputy head of fundraising at Mary Stevens Hospice, said: “We regularly receive donations from local organisations and individuals, of beautiful outfits which are often never-worn, or only worn-once.
“We sell those in a number of ways and the proceeds all raise vital funds for the patients, but then we had the idea to stockpile our donations for a short while, so that we could put on a big, beautiful sale for all of those members of our community that have got a big occasion coming up.
“We've got something for everyone, to suit any occasion.”
