STOURBRIDGE auctioneer and star of BBC’s Antique Roadshow Will Farmer returns to the town hall next month for his third celebrity lecture.

In a talk taking place on Thursday, May 4, entitled ‘We had one of those!’, Fieldings Auctioneers’ Will examines the world of modern collectables ranging from technology to toys.

Having previously entertained his audience with stories of the jewellery of the super-rich and of saleroom sleepers which produce startling results, this year Will’s light-hearted presentation will focus on those items most of have thrown away but which are now worth a small fortune.

The audience will have their heads in their heads as they are shown items they have thrown away in the past but which have sold at auction recently for sums far in excess of their original value.

The celebratory lecture series, which starts at Stourbridge Town Hall at 7.30pm, is organised by the Rotary Club of Stourbridge.

Following the success of previous lectures, where substantial funds were raised for a range of local charities, the Rotary Club are once again hoping for a large audience to hear the fascinating talk.

Tickets, priced at £10, can be bought in advance by calling 01384 376865 or 01384 877949, and will also be available on the door.
