KINGSWINFORD and Stourbridge Lions have thanked people who contributed to their annual raffle which raised £500 for a centre which helps children with disabilities.
The Lions raised the money from their Easter raffle for the KIDS Orchard Centre in Lye, which works to boost leisure and social opportunities and access to services in the community for disabled children, young people and their families.
Ivor Caplan, Lions' welfare chairman, handed over a cheque to Claire Jelf, service manager, and Hannah Pennock, West Midlands fundraiser, at the centre which is based on the Lye By-Pass and which also helps to provide short breaks, personal care and respite services.
Karen Rice, press officer for the Lions, said: "We would like to say a big thank you to the people of Stourbridge, and also the regulars and landlords of The Crown Inn, Oldswinford, and the Unicorn, Wollaston, who all contributed to the raffle."
