ORGANISERS of Wordsley Festival have thanked everyone who turned out to support the family fun day held in King George V Park.

Crowds flocked to the popular event, held on Saturday July 15, which included a dog display, birds of prey, the Thomas Jones fun fair, live music, dance and fitness displays, a host of stalls and refreshments.

Mick Davies, chairman of Wordsley Festival, said: "We had a fantastic day.

"The weather was good and the entertainment was even better.

"This year we had non-stop entertainment from SLAM Wrestling to birds of pray, a fantastic dog display with the opportunity for people to have a go at agility with their own pooches.

Stourbridge News:

"We also had fantastic dance from Alison Hill School of Dance, Emery Dance then Dance Vivante doing amazing circus dance on a massive high tripod, the quality of all of the performances was very high.

"We would like to thank Thomas Jones who is a massive support to this event and everyone who took park and the people who came to the event."

He said work would now get underway to seek funding for 2018 to enable the community event to continue.
