ARTWORK has gone on display as part of an embroidery exhibition at the Red House Glass Cone.
The Wolverhampton Embroiderer's Guild is showcasing work from 40 artists in the exhibition running until May 13.
Techniques on display include appliqué, bead work, embroidery on felt, quilting and patchwork. Some artists have printed their own fabric and stitched on top of it whilst others have incorporated transferred photographs into their work.
Local landmarks including Wightwick Manor and the Red House Glass Cone itself have also been created through fabric and stitch.
Lillian Owen, member of the guild, said: “We are very proud to be exhibiting here at the Red House Glass Cone as so much time and effort is put into each piece of artwork.
“We wanted to celebrate the medium with everyone, as well as raising awareness of our guild.”
Visitors will be able to vote for their favourite piece out of the 100 exhibits on display.
The Red House Glass Cone, High Street, Wordsley, is open 10am until 3pm Monday to Friday and 11am until 4pm at the weekends. Admission is free.
