A NEW rock band formed by three teenagers made its debut at a charity gig in Kinver.

The Experience - a homage to Jimi Hendrix's 1970s band - comprises former schoolmates Ethan Pennington-Treanor, aged 16, on bass, front man Dylan Jones, aged 14, and Zac Brookes, aged 15, on drums.

The trio played their first set, comprising classic rock numbers and a taste of their own material, at a charity fundraiser organised by the National Citizens Scheme at St Peter's Church Hall.

The charity event raised £367 and was part of a four-week social action phase run by the NCS.

The scheme is open to 15 to 17-year-olds and aims to bring together young people to build new skills and contribute to their community.

More than 45,000 teenagers take part in the scheme nationwide, supported by 1,800 adult volunteers, and around 15 young people from Kinver got involved this year.

The Experience are available for events and parties in the Stourbridge area. They can be contacted via peter@brookesmedia.com.
