STOURBRIDGE Historical Society will be hosting a talk later this month on how the Victorians shaped cricket in Stourbridge.
Anthony Collis, secretary of Stourbridge and District Cricket Society, will present an illustrated talk entitled 'Victorians Batting for Stourbridge' at Stourbridge Town Hall on Thursday September 20.
Founder and former chairman of the Cricket Society of South Africa - Mr Collis has recently written a book about the Fosters of Malvern - seven brothers, all of whom played for Worcestershire before the Great War.
The talk starts at 7.30pm and will be held in the Wollaston Room. Visitors are welcome.
