ANOTHER Alzheimers Memory Walk is set to take place at Himley Hall later this month following the success of last year's event.

Former Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Dave Tyler, has agreed to organise another walk to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

The event will take place from 11am on Sunday September 30 in the grounds of Himley Hall and participants can choose to do a 2km, 4km or 6km walk.

Cllr Tyler said: “As Mayor last year we held a Memory Walk and as walkers came past the finish line they all asked if I was organising one again.

"How could I say no for such a great cause?”

Emma Butler, from the Alzheimers Society, said “Alzheimers Society has a significant role to play in supporting not only those with dementia but also their families

and carers. The Memory Walk at Himley Hall helps raise much needed funds and raises awareness about dementia."

The route is suitable for walkers of all ages and abilities and pets are also welcome to take on the challenge.

Pre booking is advised.
