AN "overwhelming" number of people donated unwanted clothing to Russells Hall Hospital following an appeal.
The hospital issued a plea for trousers, skirts, tops, jumpers, coats, shoes, hats, scarves and gloves to be dropped off during a four-hour window on Thursday.
Items will be now be given out to vulnerable patients when they are discharged.
Team lead for discharge, Gregg Marson, said: βIt was an overwhelming response, we are delighted with how well this appeal has been supported.
"It will really help us to be able to send patients home in warm, clean clothing.β
If anyone wishes to make future donations, they are asked to call the discharge team on 01384 456111 to make arrangements.
