A BLACK Country veterinary group is adding to its trophy cabinet once again.

Blacks Vets, which has branches in Dudley, Lye, Sedgley, Oldbury and Quinton, has won a Chamber Business Award after being crowned regional winner in the customer commitment category.

Selected from entries across the West Midlands, the company was honoured for its outstanding approach to customer service and will now compete in the national finals, with the chance to take home the prestigious Business of the Year trophy.

The news arrived as the company learnt that they had also made the finals of the local level awards, hosted by the Black Country Chamber, in the workplace wellbeing and customer commitment categories.

Separate judging panels for all awards will be visiting Blacks' flagship accredited veterinary hospital in Dudley to interview staff and observe practice for themselves.

The group, which has twice been voted Best UK Vet and was awarded ‘outstanding’ across all five branches for client service by the RCVS, have long been passionate about providing excellence in all areas of their business, according to managing director, Tracey Morley Jewkes.

She said “Providing first class care to patients and clients alike is at the very core of our practice.

"We have always championed a personal approach to our work, recognising that when we treat a much-loved pet, we are treating someone’s family member. We are proof that professionalism, medical excellence and warmth can be successfully combined to create a truly exceptional client experience.

"We are delighted to have been acknowledged by the Chamber of Commerce for our efforts."

There will now be a nervous wait until the national award winners are announced at Tobacco Dock in London on November 29 and the Black Country Chamber winners are revealed at a gala dinner in Wolverhampton on November 9.
