MERRY Hill shoppers should expect to be spooked this Halloween.

A series of spook stations designed to shock and surprise are being installed throughout the shopping mall just in time for Halloween.

They will form part of a trick-or-treat trail which will be open at the centre next Wednesday, October 31 between noon and 5pm.

Each spook station will see families receive treats from a range of creatures and characters including, witches, wizards and phantoms.

Visitors are also encouraged to get involved and dress up as their favourite frightening character in time to take part in the 'Day of the Dead' or 'Dia de los Muertos' parade which gets underway at 4pm.

Robert Pickersgill, marketing manager at Intu Merry Hill said: "We jumped at the chance to bring families together this October with a truly spooky event.

"Halloween can be a great bonding time for families with the little ones dressing up and learning about these traditions.

"However trick or treat is not always possible for those who live near to main roads or in rural areas."

Families are reminded that they need to sign up to Intu Family Club to collect a free treat bucket and join the trick-or-treat trail.
