GRITTERS will be out in force across the borough this evening as temperatures plummet.
After a mild festive season, winter has arrived with temperatures last night reaching the lowest of the winter so far.
The mercury dropped to as low as -9.1 degrees in Scotland, and snow is expected by next week.
More than 1,090 grit bins, located across the borough, have also been filled with salt, for people to use on the roads and paths as and when needed.
To report an empty grit call Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345.
