A WOMAN died in the car park of Tesco in Dudley, the supermarket has confirmed.
The lady is reported to have fallen unwell in the car park of the Tesco Extra store on the Birmingham New Road on Saturday January 19.
Staff at the store called the emergency services and followed their advice to help the patient by administering CPR.
A Tesco spokesperson said: "We are deeply saddened by the death of a lady in our Dudley store car park and send our condolences to her family and friends."
A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at around 1.15 on Saturday afternoon to outside Tesco on the Birmingham New Road to reports of an unconscious female in the car park. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care car from the Midlands Air Ambulance attended.
"They found a woman already being given CPR by first aiders.
"Crews continued advanced life support on scene before the woman was taken on blue lights to Russells Hall Hospital."
Staff who helped the woman are being supported by the store following the news of the lady's death.
The woman is believed to have died from natural causes.
