A PEDESTRIAN was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in Kidderminster in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, February 12).

A black Mini Cooper, registration ending HYX, was driving along the Stourbridge Road in the direction of the Horsefair area at around 12.15am.

FIRE crews were called out to Birmingham Street in Stourbridge early this morning (Tuesday) after tyres went up in flames at Fair Price Tyres.

Stourbridge and Brierley Hill firefighters were alerted just before 4.30am after West Midlands Fire Service received a number of 999 calls.

AS part of an ongoing operation to crack down on drug dealing in Redditch a man has been sentenced to prison.

Kade Scrivens, 26, formerly of Booth Street in Birmingham, appeared at Warwick Crown Court last Friday.

On September 20 2017, Scrivens was stopped by police in his BMW 1 series on the A38 in Bromsgrove, following concerns of drugs supply in both Redditch and Bromsgrove.

DUDLEY'S hospitals will be going smoke free from June 3, bosses have announced.

Patients, visitors and staff will not be able to smoke or vape anywhere, inside or outside, at Dudley's Russells Halls Hospital and the Guest and Corbett outpatient centres - the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust has announced.
