DUDLEY SOUTH MP Mike Wood will introduce youngsters to the world of work at his annual apprenticeship fair next week.

The fair kicks off on March 8 from 4-6pm at Kingswinford Community Centre with businesses and organisations including Barclays, The Army, Dudley College, KFC, Dudley Council, the West Midlands Combined Authority, Vision Express and Busy Bees on hand to give young people advice and showcase what opportunities are available.

Internet giant Google will also be running a workshop on cover letter writing from 4.30pm onwards.

Mike Wood said: “Throughout the year I make a big effort to host events for constituents of all ages that they will find useful, which is why I have only invited companies that are currently recruiting for apprentices.”

“I know how difficult it can be for young people to get good quality information when applying for apprenticeship schemes, which is why I have decided to bring some companies together under one roof to showcase what they can offer.”

“I look forward to seeing as many people there as possible.”

The event will coincide with the end of National Apprenticeship Week.
