PEOPLE are invited to have their say on proposals to expand two secondary schools in the Stourbridge area.

The proposal is to increase capacity available at The Wordsley School and The Crestwood School in Kingswinford.

If agreed - the changes would see an extra 300 places available at each school - both of which would go from five to seven form entry schools.

Councillor Sue Ridney, Dudley's cabinet member for children’s services, said: "I’m really pleased these proposals are now going out to consultation.

"Both Wordsley and Crestwood are schools at the heart of their community and these plans will be a huge boost to children and their families in the area.

"There is an increasing demand for school places across the borough and this expansion means more places will be available for children in Brierley Hill meeting the needs of the local community in the future.”

The consultation will run until Monday March 25.
