A STOURBRIDGE man has told how he was hit over the head and robbed in a brutal attack in Mamble Road.

Abdul Wahid Wozzy took to Facebook to post pictures of the injuries he suffered in the attack which happened at around 6.30pm on Saturday March 2.

He said he was struck "numerous times on the head" in the incident in which his bag containing his passport, bank cards and money was stolen by a man wearing an army jacket and woolly hat.

The victim, who needed hospital treatment for his injuries, described the offender as about five feet ten, slim and clean shaven and in his mid 40s.

He said of the incident: "I was lucky, it was quite a severe attack. If he does it again someone else might not be as lucky."

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said officers were investigating and anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting crime reference number 20DY52882Y19.
