A SERIAL burglar who targeted three pubs and a Mcdonalds has been jailed for two years.

Alexander McDonald, aged 30, raided three pubs and a branch of Mcdonalds in the Stourbridge and Halesowen area over a two month period between December 2018 and January this year.

He smashed windows to get inside the pubs and then raided tills, gaming machines and pool tables.

He also returned to target one of the pubs on three separate occasions.

His crimes were captured on CCTV and he was identified by an officer on the Dudley offender management team who recognised his bag and shoes.

McDonald, who has more than 40 previous offences on his record, was identified as the prime suspect.

He was then arrested and charged with six counts of burglary.

McDonald pleaded guilty to all the crimes at Wolverhampton Crown Court, and he was jailed for two years on February 28.
