Meanwhile - video footage showing a similarly dressed gang trying to steal a bike in a Stourbridge street that same day was also shared on Facebook by The UK Motorcycle Theft Protest Community.

“Luckily the victim managed to keep his bike but with a few damages.”

The post was followed up with a flurry of comments from worried residents.

One poster said: “What’s going on in Stourbridge man?! Bring back the police station.”

Another said: “Imagine if everybody who was watching actually went out and made a stand against them?”

Someone else posted: “Think I might take up baseball as my new hobby and keep the “sports equipment “ very close to hand.”
