A HALESOWEN secondary school has been declared '100 per cent knife free' after police took along a screening arch as part of a blitz on crimes involving blades.
Halesowen Police took the arch along to Leasowes High to help raise awareness of knife crime.
Officers tweeted they had screened 850 pupils at the school in Kent Road and not one knife had been detected.
They tweeted: "Such a positive input from @leasoweshigh working together to ensure our young people are safe in school and in our community."
It was a different story at Pedmore Technology College earlier this week where Stourbridge police found a knife after screening 600 pupils.
