POLICE say they are investigating reports of two attempted burglaries in Amblecote at the weekend.

Incidents were reported in Fennel Road overnight on Saturday April 6 between 2.30am and 2.49am.

At the first property, between 2.30am and 2.35am, an offender tried to force the side door to gain entry but fled after being disturbed by the homeowner.

The second incident happened between 2.40am and 2.49am.

Again the offender fled after being disturbed by the property owner while trying to force the front door.

The offender is believed to have made off in a small white vehicle.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is urged to contact police via Live Chat west-midlands.police.co.uk or call 101 or Crimestoppers (anonymously) on 0800 555111.

Police officers have been conducting house to house enquiries and they are urging residents in the area to check their CCTV for any footage of the offenders or the small white vehicle in the early hours of April 6.

PCSO Neal Hunt told residents on a neighbourhood alert: "We are currently conducting enquiries into these offences and patrolling the area of these offences."

Security advice is available on the police website.
