RESIDENTS across Dudley are being urged to use their vote in the local elections next month.

Poll cards have been delivered to people who have registered and the polls are set to open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday May 2.

There are 193 polling stations across the borough and 24 seats are up for grabs on Dudley Council.

For more information on elections go to www.dudley.gov.uk and search for ‘elections 2018’ or call the elections office on 01384 814740.

Alan Lunt, deputy chief executive and deputy electoral returning officer at Dudley Council, said: "Local elections give Dudley borough residents the chance to have a say on how services at Dudley Council are managed and it is important for everyone to have the opportunity to participate.

"I would urge people to take the time to register to vote on May 2 and play an important role in local democracy.”
