KIND-hearted staff at a Dudley hotel are collecting Easter eggs to give to disadvantaged children in the area.

Guests and gym goers at the Village Hotel are invited to visit the new Village Pub & Grill inside the hotel to drop off a boxed up Easter egg by Saturday April 20.

The Easter treats will then be picked up by local Barnardo’s team and distributed to vulnerable children throughout Dudley.

The Easter egg collection is part of the hotel's commitment to fundraise for Barnado's, with staff pledging 1,000 volunteer hours in support of the children’s charity.

Andrew Rathbone, General Manager of the Village Hotel Club, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Barnardo’s as our new chosen charity.

"This initiative is incredibly important in our collective effort to give back to the local community and make a difference to the lives of those around us. Village is about so much more than just a hotel, or a gym, and spreading a little cheer at Easter is the start of an exciting partnership. We’ve got lots of fun events planned, and hope as many people as possible join us and get involved.”

As a thank you for the donations, every person who donates an egg will receive complimentary gym access and fitness classes at the Village Gym, from Friday April 19 to Monday April 22.
