A DUDLEY nurse is among runners from across the borough getting set to take on this year's London Marathon.
Jane Pugh, an advanced clinical practitioner in the emergency department at Russells Hall Hospital, will take on the 26.2-mile road race on Sunday April 28
The 51-year-old runner is no stranger to marathons - having completed a whopping 20 already.
A member of Action Heart Running Club, she hopes to raise around £1,000 for the Action Heart cardiac rehabilitation unit based at Russells Hall Hospital.
Anyone wishing to sponsor Jane can do so online at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jane-pugh3.
She said: "I hope to raise as much as possible.
"I'm lucky to have a healthy heart, but some people are not and as an advanced clinical practitioner in the emergency department I see the effects on patients after a cardiac event.
"Action Heart supports patients through rehabilitation to resume a normal life and gives them the confidence to walk, run, jump or dance."
