GLAMPING and Prosecco will on offer at Himley Hall this weekend as the historic setting hosts a wedding fair open day.

From summer 2020, the grade II* stately home will also be the backdrop to outdoor garden weddings, complete with marquees and glamping for guests.

To show would-be brides and grooms what to expect, a wedding open day takes place on Saturday May 4.

Visitors will be able to see a fully dressed wedding marquee, complete with bridal dressing area.

The grounds will be turned into a glamping village with Prosecco bar, fire pit, seating area, games area and fully dressed cloth tent, set up for 100 but capable of hosting wedding parties of up to 2000 guests.

The ticketed event, which runs from 11am to 4pm, is an opportunity to look around the venue, talk to the wedding team, tour the historic hall and sample the hall’s gourmet food.

There will also be an opportunity for couples to take part in a free prize draw to win a free wedding ceremony.

The day will also feature an exhibition of wedding photos submitted by couples who have been married in the hall over the last ten years.
