MANAGER Darren Byfield says he's now completed his Alvechurch squad after landing Solihull forward duo Ryan Nesbitt and Ben Usher-Shipway.

The attackers have arrived at Lye Meadow on three-month loan deals.

Nesbitt joined Moors from Sutton Coldfield Town where he was on loan last season, netting 23 goals. He also has previous experience with Hednesford Town, Boldmere St. Michaels and Chasetown.

Usher-Shipway joined Moors from Boldmere St Michaels where he came through the club’s youth ranks, making his debut back for the Mikes back in 2015.

He made 42 appearances in all for Boldmere in the 2018/19 campaign, scoring 11 goals and catching the eye of Moors’ scouts with his ability to produce a good final ball.

Byfield said: "I'm delighted with the squad we've got. Hopefully everyone can buy into what we are trying to do.

"They are training well and hopefully we can come straight out of the blocks when the season gets underway.

"I've been pleased with pre-season except for the win against Heather St John. The fact we won doesn't matter, it was the overall performance I wasn't pleased with.

"So there is work to do and it will take time but we are heading in the right direction.

"So far it has gone well. I came here because the chairman said he would let me manage, which is what I had at Walsall Wood, and that has been the case." Church will conclude their pre-season programme when they take on Halesowen on Tuesday night before facing Evesham this Saturday.
