YOUNGSTERS across the borough can get involved with Dudley Play Week which returns for its 11th year.

Free games, sports and craft activities will be on offer in parks across Dudley, Halesowen and Stourbridge from Monday August 5 to Friday August 9.

The week of events kicks off at Huntingtree Park in Halesowen on Monday August 5.

The fun then continues throughout the week at Silver Jubilee Park in Coseley on Tuesday August 6; Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge on Wednesday August 7; Priory Park in Dudley, on Thursday August 8; and The Dell Stadium and Fens Pool in Pensnett on Friday August 9.

Each day will also include a talent contest where youngsters can showcase their skills to be in with the chance of winning from a raft of prizes.

Activities take place each day from 12pm to 4pm and to take part children must be registered on arrival at the registration tent. Children must also be accompanied by an adult.

The week will include group games, sports, camp fires, a climbing wall, craft activities, a baby zone, assault courses, skittles, tug of war, bouncy castles, food court and stalls.

Last year's event was attended by more than 6,000 people.
