A CRADLEY church is preparing to welcome the Mayor of Dudley who will join diners at its luncheon club.
Cllr David Stanley and mayor's consort councillor Anne Millward will visit Providence Church on Windmill Hill on Tuesday (August 6)
The church's outreach programme, is now in its 7th year, includes the luncheon club, which meets on the first Tuesday of each month.
It is run by a ten-strong team of volunteers.
The lunch also includes guest speakers talking on topical subjects as well as a raffle.
Chris Lune, who has been part of the volunteer team since it started, said: “We cater for a full range of dietary needs s well as providing a take away service for those not able to get down here themselves”.
All food is freshly prepared, seasonal and locally sourced. A small charge is made to cover costs.
The luncheon club meets at 12.30pm for 1pm, there is no need to book.
Anyone with a special dietary requirement should call 01384 413513.
