MORE than 1,000 runners will hit the streets for the fifth edition of the Alcester 10k race on Sunday, October6.

In addition to all previous sponsors continuing their affiliation with the event, organisers Raceways has announced the addition of a new key partner.

Yield Health and Fitness have come on board for 2019 – founders of Crossfit Yield in Alcester, and Yield Yoga in Ardens Grafton.

Their passion for improving people’s health and wellbeing through physical fitness aligns with the ethos of Raceways – all of the profits of the Alcester 10k. along with all of Raceways’ events, go to the charity Kids Run Free, who create free and fun opportunities for children to take part in physical activity to encourage them to become healthier, happier and more confident.

Seco Tools continue to be the headline sponsor for the event and also joining them are Hogan’s Cider, The Turks Head, Sanders and Sanders and Erdinger.

Martine Verweij, co-founder of Raceways and Kids Run Free, said: "We are so grateful to have the support of so many fantastic local businesses and groups. Without them the race could not go ahead."
