A WOMAN was injured after a car overturned in Dudley.

The woman managed to free herself from the car, which overturned on Woodland Avenue, near to Priory Park, just after 9pm last night (August 12).

She received minor injuries and was taken to hospital by medics.

A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.17pm last night to reports of an over turned car in Woodland Avenue. One ambulance and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who had managed to get herself out of the car.

"She was treated for minor injuries and taken to Russells Hall Hospital."
