A WOMAN has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Dudley.

Medics were called to Priory Road, just after 12.30pm this afternoon (August 30) to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a critical care car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford rushed to the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "It is unclear at this stage how severe the woman’s injuries are and part of the road remains closed as enquiries continue."

An ambulance service spokesperson confirmed the woman was treated at the scene for serious injuries, before being taken by land ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
