"I have been involved in different activities, raised funds for Woman's Aid, I have done some volunteering at Pampered Pets Cattery and spoken to Chris Ruane. The contest has given me a chance to highlight my own interests in philosophy and politics.

"I have never walked up Snowdon before. This whole journey has given me a chance to accomplish things I never would have done and has empowered me in different ways.

"The walk up Snowdon was one of the hardest things I have done - I started to cry, but when I touched the summit it felt like such an accomplishment. I did it with a friend and it took seven hours."

On Saturday, all participants for the pageant will come together and will have to give in their notebook and logbook of activities. There will be rehearsals and then the show will start in the Hilton on Sunday. There will be an introduction, swim suit, evening gown round as well as questions and answers.
