The mother of Rangers legend Fernando Ricksen will miss his funeral on Wednesday, according to relatives.
Anneke Ricksen will not be able to travel to the Glasgow service as she can't leave her ill husband.
Fernando's brother, Pedro, said she has to give her husband 24/7 care.
Her caring duties have also meant she had not seen her stricken son for the final two years of his life.

“She cannot leave him to go to Glasgow for the funeral as she has to care for him 24/7 and he cannot fly," Pedro said, according to the Scottish Sun.
"When there are a lot of people he gets really nervous when he can’t do something.”
He also revealed it has been 'very emotional' watching people pay tribute to his brother in the last week.
The Dutchman lost his six-year battle with Motor Neurone Disease this week.
It has been revealed his funeral will be held at Wellington Church, Glasgow, before a private service for the family.
