STOURBRIDGE Royal British Legion is gearing up for its annual Remembrance Parade.
Veterans will march from the Council House in Mary Stevens Park, Norton, shortly before 11am on Remembrance Sunday (November 10) ahead of a two-minute silence and service of Remembrance at the cenotaph.
A pre-parade meeting will take place from 8pm tonight (Thursday October 24) at The Royal British Legion in Enville Street, Stourbridge, to plan the event which will also mark 80 years since the start of WWII.
Collecting for this year's Poppy Appeal will also kick off this weekend. Branch chairman Chris Peace said he hopes the appeal will prove as successful last year's which saw a whopping £46,000 raised.
