MORE than £2k has been donated to help the grieving family of a Rowley Regis van driver killed in an horrific crash with a bus.

Bret Dance, aged 36, was killed when the van he was driving crashed with a bus in Dudley Road, Rowley Regis last Thursday (November 7).

Medics fought to save the father-of-three, but sadly nothing could be done and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Justgiving appeal set up by Deanna Baker to raise £1.5k to help his three children aged 12, 4, and 11-months, has already smashed its target - with £2.1k already donated by well-wishers.

The appeal, at http://bit.ly/34PoiT5, states: "Our thoughts are with Sam, Marie and the family after hearing the tragic and devastating news of losing Bret Dance, he now leaves behind 3 beautiful children... 12 year old son, 4 year old daughter & 11 month old baby boy.

"Knowing their daddy is never to return home again is heartbreaking.

"Christmas is approaching and they have to go through this without their hero beside them.

"Can we all dig deep and lets give these children something special from their daddy!"

Tributes have been left on the page.

One well-wisher stated: "I grew up with Bret has a teenager and he was fun to be around then I'm sure he is gona be missed by many, my thought are with all his family his beautiful 3 children at this sad time."

Another states: "Rest in paradise mate... my heart goes out to Sam and the kids and all his family thinking of you all xxx"
