A HALESOWEN schoolgirl has helped select this year's top Christmas presents for children.
Evie Egerton, who attends Howley Grange Primary, was selected by leading German battery brand VARTA to be one of six child testers to put the year’s most anticipated toys through their paces.
The six-year-old was chosen from more than 400 applications to be become one of the firm's 2019 Toy Testers.
Evie attended a judging session at The Broadway Shopping Centre in Bradford where the children carefully judged the toys against six key categories: fun-factor, usability, cool-factor, excitement-factor, breakability-factor and finally, if they would put the toy on their own Christmas list.
Juno the Elephant took the top spot due to its cute and lovable nature.
Coming in second was the popular DC Transforming Remote Control Batmobile and in third was Boppi The Booty Shakin' Llama, a must buy thanks to its ability to make the children laugh.
Evie, who is in year two at Howley Grange said: “Juno was my favourite toy from all the toys we tested, so I’m really glad she won."
