TWO kind-hearted zumba instructors are set to host a bumper 'Zumbathon' to raise funds to help wildlife affected by the devastating bushfires in Australia,

Instructors Jade Bill and Ellie Hooper will host an evening of dance for all ages and abilities at the Link Leisure Centre in Netherton on Friday, January 31.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the WWF Bushfire Emergency Fund to help animals affected in their recovery.

Jade, aged 27, who teaches the popular dance in Dudley, said she was inspired to act after seeing the horrific images of animals affected by the fires on the news.

She said: "I love animals, we all do. When I saw on the news what was happening I wanted to do something to raise awareness.

"As soon as the news stops showing what's happening, it goes off our minds.

"We want to raise as much as we can, every little helps right? "

It is estimated that half a billion animals have been killed in the fires, which have devastated areas in New South Wales and Victoria.

Doors open at 5.45pm, with the class taking place from 6pm to 8pm.

Early bird tickets cost £5 and can be booked by calling Jade on 07410980317.

Tickets cost £7 on the door.
