WORK to repair the dilapidated steps on a Stourbridge subway is expected to take up to another month.
The steps to both sides of the New Road underpass are being reconstructed at a cost of around £45,000.
The works are expected to be finished by March 13, but will more than likely finish earlier if work progresses well, a council spokesman said.
Access for pedestrians is being maintained.
The work is not connected to the street lighting upgrade currently being carried out along the ring road by E.ON.
