STOURBRIDGE residents are being asked not to attend Lion Health to book a GP appointment.
Bosses at the surgery off Lowndes Road announced today that they would be converting all pre-booked GP appointments to telephone appointments and they have urged members of the public not to attend the practice to book appointments or if they have suspected coronavirus symptoms.
A statement issued on the surgery's Facebook page said: "We have deployed additional staff to man our phones."
Routine appointments such as baby immunisations will still be going ahead.
Wordsley Green Surgery has also reportedly taken the same measures.
A note was sent out to patients saying: "Dr A Sinha and Partner would like to advise that all face to face appointments at the surgery will be changed to telephone consultations where possible. Only attend the surgery if absolutely essential. We encourage patients to set up EPS prescriptions with a pharmacy of your choice."
